ERIE, PA (February 5, 2026) — Infinite Erie announced today the release of its annual Playbook. The announcement came at the annual Infinite Erie Budget Breakfast and Briefing where community, civic and business leaders were all gathered to learn about Tuesday’s Budget Address from Governor Josh Shapiro.

“We have put together a Playbook that represents the most important projects in Erie in 2026,” said Kim Thomas, Executive Director of Infinite Erie. “Through our tireless advocacy at home, in Harrisburg and beyond, we can’t wait to see some tangible progress right here in Erie that improves our resident’s lives.”

The 2026 Playbook provides a framework for tracking progress, aligning efforts, and directing investment toward projects that advance Infinite Erie’s shared priorities. The priorities that projects are categorized with are:

  • Developing a World Class Waterfront
  • Supporting Economic Development
  • Creating Access to Safe, Affordable and Quality Housing

The playbook highlights projects at different stages of readiness, showing both momentum already underway and opportunities where additional coordination or capital can accelerate impact.

Projects in the Playbook are:

  • Erie Malleable Iron
  • McKean Business Park
  • Corry Area CATCH
  • Erie Coke Plant Cleanup
  • Millcreek Gateway District
  • Erie Housing Accelerator
  • The Erie CRIZ

“We attended Governor Shapiro’s 2026-2027 Budget Address and a lot of his priorities align with the projects outlined in the Playbook, especially in regards to workforce development, new funding for housing and a large investment in economic development,” said Thomas.

Over 90 Erie County community, civic and business leaders all gathered to hear a summary of the governor’s Tuesday budget address as it relates to Erie. The main messages were stability, relevance and preparedness for Erie.

Erie County residents can stay updated with Infinite Erie on LinkedInFacebook and Instagram. They can also check out the redesigned infiniteerie.com.
