Facilitated Public Open House | Thursday, November 12 | 5:30–7:30 p.m. | Bayfront Convention Center
Join us this November to review ideas taking shape for the future of Erie’s Bayfront and share what matters most to you. This interactive open house is an opportunity to see how ideas have evolved through community input and the planning process, share your feedback, and help shape a Bayfront that brings people together, connects us to the water, and reflects what makes Erie unique.
Your input will help refine these ideas and guide the next steps in planning for our Bayfront’s future.
ABOUT ONE BAYFRONT
Infinite Erie is partnering with Erie Mayor Daria S. Devlin to talk with residents about the waterfront’s future. Central to our history, economy, and quality of life, the waterfront is one of Erie’s greatest assets.
One Bayfront combines community input with research and data to understand needs and opportunities. The result will be a shared blueprint with clear priorities and next steps to guide future projects and investments.

OUR VISION
Erie’s waterfront is a year-round, world-class waterfront that attracts residents, businesses, and visitors to the Bay.
It reflects Erie’s maritime heritage, celebrates the region’s diversity, protects the environmental assets of Presque Isle Bay, and is shaped through a dynamic relationship with the community. Connecting generational experience and legacy, Erie’s waterfront creates a high-quality Bayfront experience for generations to come.
The result is a vibrant, accessible, and welcoming Bayfront that provides public space for people to engage, links neighborhoods, enhances the natural landscape, creates new economic vitality, and defines how Erie presents itself to the world.
GOALS
Six goals guide the blueprint.
Access and Connectivity
Provide direct, safe, and seamless connections to, from and around the Bayfront – whether on foot, bike, car, or on the water – allowing people to move easily between downtown, neighborhoods, and the Bay.
Environment
Protect and strengthen the Bayfront’s natural setting while adapting to a changing climate, so the shoreline remains resilient, accessible, and part of everyday life for future generations.
Economic Sustainability
Create a Bayfront that supports and enhances Erie’s economy by creating jobs, attracting new businesses and generating tax revenue, while building something people want to use and continue to invest in over time.
Variety and Opportunity
Offer a mix of experiences and activities that attract visitors and Erieites to the Bayfront on a year-round basis – on land and on the water, for people of all ages and interests.
Uniquely Erie
Build on what makes Erie special – its history, people, culture and its Bayfront – to create a place that feels unique, authentic and welcoming to locals and visitors alike.
Beautiful and Thoughtful Design
Shape a Bayfront that is attractive, durable, and a pleasure to use—where views of the Bay are protected, buildings and nature work together, and public spaces are welcoming, and improved over time.

FAQ
Are these concepts final?
No. The concepts are preliminary and will change based on public input, technical review, and the City of Erie’s planning and approval process. Your feedback helps decide which ideas are kept, revised, combined, or studied further.
Does this mean these projects will be built?
One Bayfront is a plan. It sets priorities and next steps to guide future projects and investments; individual projects would still go through their own design, funding, and approval processes.
What area does the plan cover?
About 2.7 miles of the Bayfront, from Liberty Park to the Lampe District, along with connections to downtown and nearby neighborhoods.
How can I share my feedback?

When will the final blueprint be ready?
The final One Bayfront Blueprint is expected in Q1 2027.
