Portfolios
The Project Portfolios for Infinite Erie exist as a framework for measuring progress of the Investment Playbook and act as a venue for the portfolio teams to consider new projects as community needs evolve. Each portfolio focuses on a major category of community priorities and targeted investment, informed by their action team members and project cohort, but remain constant in upholding the ideals of Infinite Erie and are further measured through their active participation across the Tenants of Inclusive Growth:
Tenants of Inclusive Growth Strategies:
across all portfolios, Infinite Erie has three Building Blocks of Excellence which guide project consideration: Equity, Environment, and Economics
Equity – a commitment to hire locally, source locally, and to include a diverse set of stakeholders in project planning; project located in an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Economically Distressed or Justice40 Initiative census tract
Environment – efforts which seek to clean blighted areas and address hazardous housing conditions; enhance public space (i.e. pedestrian experience, public art, parks); and plans which incorporate durable, high-quality building materials, enhanced stormwater/ rainwater retention and indoor/ outdoor air quality measures, and aim to achieve LEED, or WELL Building Standards
Environment – a commitment to vending with Minority-owned, Women-owned, or Veteran-owned businesses where possible; incorporate a financially sustainable operating model; and projects which support the attraction of businesses within the region’s target and growth industries and create additional jobs, especially in communities where projects are located
